Where Casey Jr. Circus Train runs

Casey Jr. Circus Train runs in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. Inspired by the brave little engine in Disney’s animated film Dumbo, it was one of the park’s original attractions when Disneyland opened in 1955.

The attraction’s sleigh-style cars have a history of their own: Disney says they came from the merry-go-round that later became King Arthur Carrousel. Its theme song was written by Frank Churchill and Ned Washington, who also worked on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio.

What does the ride route pass?

What does the ride route pass?

The train tours miniature fairytale settings, crossing hills and valleys and climbing what Disney calls an “impossible hill.” From its higher vantage point, you can see miniature scenes that are also visible from Storybook Land Canal Boats. The Storybook Land Canal Boats guide covers that companion attraction.

The miniature sights include Arendelle and Elsa’s ice palace, the Three Little Pigs’ houses, and the London park from Peter Pan. The route also passes the Alpine village from Pinocchio, the English village from Alice in Wonderland, and Agrabah and the Cave of Wonders from Aladdin.

Look out for Prince Eric’s palace and King Triton’s underwater castle, the Cottage of the Dwarfs, and Cinderella’s French countryside village and mountaintop castle. Other miniatures include the Giant’s patchwork quilt from Lullaby Land and Toad Hall from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
